Spanish Lesson Plan - Travelling in your Country
Interactive 5E lesson plans intended for grades 7-9 Spanish classes using the NSC (National Standard Curriculum). The plans have been used in classes containing 25-30 students. The plans are simplified so as to cater to learners at their grade level and those below. These plans are simple and student-centered. Suitable for use in Caribbean territories and can be readily adopted for secondary education students worldwide.

Attainment Target: Students will develop the ability to understand spoken stimuli, written content and to use the target language to communicate effectively and appropriately.

3. ¿Cómo viajas a la/ al?
4. ¿Te gusta ese medio de transporte?
Specific Objectives:
Week 1
At the end of a PowerPoint presentation and guided discussion, students should be able to:
● Express orally which popular places of interest in Jamaica they like.
● State accurately where in their country they normally go during the holidays.
● Outline orally and in writing what activities they normally participate in at those places
Week 2
At the end of a PowerPoint presentation and guided discussion, students should be able to:
● Identify at least two modes of transport they normally use to get to the location.
After going through a reading comprehension aided by a guided discussion, students should be
able to:
● Express their feelings about the modes of transport, giving a reason.
Prior Learning: Students already know the present tense and how to use “me gusta/n”.
